Colin Stone
Removed rotten fascia boards. Fitted new fascia boards and applied a knotting solution to prevent dark stains from showing through after painting.
Each new board was treated with one coat of primer, two undercoats and one coat of black gloss (Dulux). |

Stripped wallpaper and repaired walls with filler and plastered in an old doorway. Hung wallpaper and painted ceiling and walls.
The skirting boards, door and doorframe were treated with a coat of gloss (Dulux). |

Removed existing tiles from bathroom. Due to stud walls (plasterboard fastened onto wooden battening), all existing plasterboard had to be removed. Fitted new plasterboard and re-tiled walls.
Bathroom floor was also tiled. |

These two photographs illustrate the poor state of many walls and ceilings after wallpaper has been removed, prior to redecoration.
In such cases, it is sometimes necessary to prepare and skim the area
with a thin layer of plaster before proceeding with redecoration.
